The EU has transferred € 3 billion to Ukraine in the form of the next tranche of a loan from the Group of Seven (G7) for income from reinvestment of frozen assets of the Russian Federation. This was announced by the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen.

"Today we have provided Ukraine with € 3 billion in the form of the first tranche of the European part of the G7 loan," she wrote in X.
