One of the most widely read military bloggers (more than 3.3 million subscribers), columnist Yuri Podolyaka commented on the words of People's Artist of Russia Nikolai Baskov during the state awards ceremony in the Catherine Hall of the Senate Palace.

"The right words," wrote Podolyaka, attaching a video recording of Baskov's performance to the message.

The military blogger is sure that this is a good example for other artists.

"It is a pity that many of his colleagues in the shop either constantly "walk into the wrong doors" or pretend that it "does not concern them," concluded Podolyaka.

As EADaily reported, in mid-December, Russian President Vladimir Putin presented Baskov with the Order of Honor.

The actor asked permission to say a few words.

Baskov thanked his parents and teachers, as well as fans of his work. He stressed that he was born into a military family, who from childhood brought up in him a love for the Motherland.

"Today I want to say deep words of gratitude, admiration to our fighters, heroes... for their courage, heroism, professionalism, for their love and devotion to our country. Today, when they defend our homeland from enemies, we have no right to be indifferent, irresponsible, superficial. I want to say about all those of my fellow artists who provide all possible assistance to bring our common victory closer. They perform in the zone of a special military operation, in hospitals, provide humanitarian support and actively fight in the information war unleashed against our society. And they do it at the call of their hearts and pure souls," the singer said.

He ended his speech with a quote from a poem by Vasily Lebedev-Kumach, who is also the author of the lyrics of the song "Holy War". ""In our formidable holy war / There is no difference between the front and the rear. / What you did, do doubly / With tireless diligence and fervor.“ And the victory will be ours," Baskov summed up.
