Fraudsters continue to invent schemes to deceive citizens. One of their latest inventions is a new algorithm for stealing users' Telegram accounts.
This was told to RIA Novosti by the leading analyst of the Digital Risk Protection (DRP) department of F.A.S.S.T. Evgeny Egorov.
He explained that scammers using fake job offers on behalf of well-known companies create an account on a fraudulent website for all those who responded to the vacancy.
After people interested in a vacancy have logged in to a fraudulent site, they are given tasks. By performing them, the victim allegedly replenishes his internal account.
To withdraw the earned money, the "employee" will need to pay a commission or simply enter the card details for crediting. Such messages, for example, are sent on behalf of the HeadHunter company.
Fraudsters take contacts for mass mailing from stolen databases. The job is offered to everyone, regardless of whether there is experience or not, the salary is offered from 90 thousand to 150 thousand rubles.
Egorov also warned that through dangerous links, scammers can not only steal money from an account, but also distribute malicious software and attract traffic to fraudulent and phishing resources.
As reported by EADaily, earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin called the only true way to protect against telephone fraudsters.
