At a meeting of the Samara regional Court on December 20, the scandalous singer and blogger Eduard Charlotte *, contrary to expectations, was not sentenced. The trial will continue on December 27, the portal reports 63.ru .

During the last meeting, Charlotte* was given the floor.

He stated that he had previously participated in the activities of the Nochlezhka charity organization, gave a concert there.

"All the money was sent to people without a specific place of residence. Plus, while I was in jail, I asked my dad to transfer money to the SMO fund. We are talking about a small amount, only 10 thousand rubles. Because for more than two years I have not received income from streaming, " the artist said.

In addition, he stated that he was diagnosed with a mental disorder as a child.

"My condition has worsened. Need a psychologist. I had bipolar disorder, there is a certificate. It hasn't gone away. I can't believe how long this has been going on and how long it will continue. As a child, according to my father, I was on the verge of life and death. It seems that there was some kind of fluid in my head, I do not know what it is properly called. A miracle happened, and I was eventually given to my father," said Charlotte *.

He suggested that these circumstances are associated with his autism.

"But I didn't get examined for that," the singer concluded.

On December 27, Charlotte* will give her last speech.

Recall, the state prosecutor requested that the accused be sentenced to imprisonment for a period of 7 years and 5 months in a general regime colony with a fine of 299 thousand rubles.

As EADaily reported, three criminal cases were initially initiated against Charlotte: on the rehabilitation of Nazism (part 4 of Article 354.1 of the Criminal Code), on insulting the feelings of believers (Article 148 of the Criminal Code) and on the destruction of official documents (part 1 of Article 325 of the Criminal Code).

All three criminal cases relate to videos on the social network. In particular, because of the video where the blogger tears and tramples the St. George ribbon and in his underwear sings to the tune of the song "Victory Day" a composition about the fall of the ruble. In another video, he tore up the letter Z, painted in the colors of the St. George ribbon, and in another video, he nailed a photo of Patriarch Kirill, his military ID card and a cross to a tree. Charlotte's burning of his Russian passport also became known from the video.

In early January of this year, the Baza telegram channel reported that Charlotte* wrote a penitent letter to Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia.

At the end of May this year, the actor's father said that another criminal case had been initiated against him — under Article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (actions aimed at inciting hatred or enmity, as well as humiliating the dignity of a person or group of persons on the grounds of gender, race, nationality, language, origin, attitude to religion, committed publicly).

Charlotte* partially admitted guilt, categorically denying only the charges under article 282.

Earlier, the Russian Orthodox Church stated that they had received a repentant letter from Charlotte * and did not object to forgiving the artist. According to Vakhtang Kipshidze, deputy chairman of the Synodal Department for Church-Society Relations and the Media of the Moscow Patriarchate, in addition to the letter received, the ROC took note of the artist's public apology.
