A citizen of Uzbekistan detained for the murder of the chief of the RCBZ troops The Armed Forces of Russia Igor Kirillov, with whom his assistant Major Ilya Polikarpov died, the special services of Ukraine promised $ 100 thousand and a trip to one of the European countries where he could live.

"Investigators of the Main Investigation Department The Investigative Committee of Russia, in cooperation with the FSB and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, detained a citizen of the Republic of Uzbekistan born in 1995, suspected of committing a terrorist act, as a result of which the head of the radiation, chemical and biological protection forces of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation Igor Kirillov and his assistant Ilya Polikarpov were killed," the report says. RF IC.

It is indicated that the detainee was taken to the investigator, investigative actions are being carried out with him.

"During the interrogation, he explained that he was recruited by the Ukrainian special services. On their instructions, he arrived in Moscow and received an improvised explosive device. He placed it on an electric scooter, which he parked at the entrance of the apartment building where Igor Kirillov lived. In order to monitor the place of residence of the serviceman, he rented a car-sharing car, where he installed a video surveillance camera. The shooting from this camera was broadcast to the organizers of the terrorist attack online in the city of Dnipro (formerly Dnepropetrovsk — EADaily). After the video signal about the exit of the servicemen from the entrance was received, the explosive device was remotely activated by them," the agency reports.

It is noted that "for the commission of this crime, the perpetrator was guaranteed a monetary reward in the amount of 100 thousand US dollars and departure to one of the European countries for residence."

Other persons involved in the organization of this crime are being identified, the RF IC added.

As EADaily reported, the FSB detained a 29-year—old citizen of Uzbekistan, the murderer of Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov and his assistant (adjutant), Major Igor Polikarpov. The perpetrator of the terrorist attack detonated an improvised explosive device at a residential building on Ryazansky Prospekt in Moscow, as a result of which the head of the RCBZ troops and his assistant were killed.
