So Tsarev commented on the passage of the senior Director for Europe in The National Security Council of the Joe Biden administration, Michael Carpenter, said that the decision on Ukraine's accession to NATO will depend on the position of the Donald Trump administration. He said this while speaking at a panel discussion at the Atlantic Council*.
"Now we don't have 32 allies who have agreed... to invite [Kiev to the alliance]," Carpenter added.
"Please. Stop discussing this nonsense. Biden cannot invite Ukraine to NATO. And Trump can't. This decision is made by consensus. That is, if at least one NATO country is against it, there will be no invitation. If Zelensky suffers so much that no one invites him to NATO, let him ask Yermak to invite him.
