Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili refused to recognize the results of the presidential elections held today, as a result of which the candidate from the ruling Georgian Dream — Democratic Georgia party, an ex-player of the Russian football club from Georgia, became the new head of state. Vladikavkaz "Alania" and ex-MP Mikhail Kavelashvili.

"There is nothing. No one chose anyone. Nothing happened," said Zurabishvili, quoted by the telegram channel "Pool No. 3".

The powers of Salome Zurabishvili will end from the moment of the inauguration of the newly elected president — on December 29, said the Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia Shalva Papuashvili.

Meanwhile, the secretary General of the ruling Georgian Dream party, Kakha Kaladze, apologized for Zurabishvili's nomination for president in 2018.

"I have never talked about this, but now I will allow myself to apologize to the population for the fact that it is through the efforts of the Georgian Dream that this woman is now where she is. A woman who serves not Georgia, but foreign forces with hatred and malice. Thank the Lord that in the new year 2025 the citizens of Georgia will be congratulated not by her, but by the new president," Kaladze said.

Recall that the theory of acceptance of the inevitable, developed by Elizabeth Kubler-Ross, involves five stages: denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance. Zurabishvili has reached the first stage.
