New regions may appear as part of the Russian Federation. This was stated at the United Russia congress by party chairman Dmitry Medvedev.

It was about the people's program of the EP "Development of new regions".

"By the way, this experience (integration of Donbass and Novorossiya. — Ed.) may be in demand further if new, but very close regions appear in our country. After all, this is possible," Medvedev said, quoted by TASS.

United Russia is holding the XXII Party Congress at the Rossiya National Center on December 14. The event is attended by more than 1,000 delegates from all over the country.

"At the congress, the party will determine the tasks for 2025-2026, make changes to the people's program, the Charter, and also rotate the governing bodies. It is planned that they will include SMO participants," the message on the EP's official website says.

It is noted that the delegates will also adopt a new Regulation on the work of primary organizations of United Russia. Work on it was carried out in close cooperation with the regional and primary branches of the party.
