There is no certainty about the whereabouts of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, he sent a request to several countries asking them to accept him, but was refused. This was stated to TASS by a member of the political committee of the National Coalition of Opposition and Revolutionary Forces Anas al-Abda.
"There is still no definite news about Assad's whereabouts. We know that he asked for permission to come to several countries, including Russia, but was refused. Perhaps he went to some of the countries of Africa. The Syrian people, in turn, want to be judged by a Syrian court," the source said.
As EADaily reported, earlier Reuters, citing sources, informed that former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad "with high probability" died in a plane crash.
