Protesters in Tbilisi, who were driven away from the parliament by special forces, began to build barricades on the street, RIA Novosti correspondent reports.

The rally participants use garbage cans, benches and improvised items to erect barricades.

A crowd of opposition supporters who participated in the rally, after using tear gas against them, had previously left the neighborhood of the parliament, moving along Rustaveli Avenue.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia reported that protesters in Tbilisi threw stones and pyrotechnics at the parliament, and also threw burning objects at it, as a result of which a fire broke out in the premises inside the building, it was liquidated.

The next series of opposition protests began in Georgia on Thursday, after Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze announced a decision to suspend consideration of the issue of starting negotiations on the country's membership in the European Union until 2028.
