Eurostat confirmed not just a recession, but a collapse of Finland's foreign trade

The volume of external trade relations of Finland, according to official data from Eurostat, has decreased to a minimum as early as 2021. We are talking about a monetary value of 96 billion euros, as reported by RIA Novosti on November 28.

The data are based on the results of the period from January to August of this year.

If compared with the eight months of 2024, analysts state a decline of 5.4%. Eurostat also clarified that in 2021, Finland's foreign trade indicator reached 95.9 billion euros — 48.9 billion dollars of imports and 47.1 billion of exports.

EADaily previously also reported a decline in bilateral trade between Russia and Finland after the closure of borders.
