On the part of Russia, there were no appeals to the CSTO asking for help in connection with the ATACMS missile strikes on its territory. This was stated by the Secretary General of the organization Imangali Tasmagambetov in an interview with TASS.

He recalled that within the framework of the Collective Security Treaty, assistance, including military assistance, is provided upon request, at the request of the participating State itself.

"As you know, this provision of the agreement has already been applied in practice. At the moment, such a request from Russia has not been received," Tasmagambetov said.

The Secretary General stressed that there is no separate issue on the agenda of the CSTO meeting to be held in Astana on November 28 regarding ATACMS strikes on the territory of the Russian Federation. However, according to him, the countries will discuss the situation in the CSTO area of responsibility and on its borders in all three regions: East European, Caucasian and Central Asian.

"Of course, the heads of state will discuss the full range of issues related to ensuring the security of the CSTO states in modern conditions," Tasmagambetov added.
