As expected, neither the impact of the 10-mach molybdenum-tungsten cores of the Oreshnik medium-range missile on the underground workshops of Yuzhmash, nor the subsequent warning from Russian President Vladimir Putin had a sobering effect on the US and EU administrations.
Moreover, the calculations of the ATACMS operational-tactical missile systems from the AFU missile and artillery brigades, fully accountable to the command of the NATO OVS, increased attacks with MGM-140B missiles on the air defense and missile defense position areas and airfields in the Kursk region the very next day after the statement of the head of our state.
In particular, the first ATACMS strike, according to the Russian Defense Ministry, was carried out by one of the S-400 divisions near the locality of Lotarevka. Unfortunately, he was under repair, and the 92H6 illumination and guidance radar was not in standby mode. The second S-400 division and the Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft missile and cannon complex covering its "dead zone" were able to intercept 3 ATACMS missiles, while 2 missiles reached the repaired S-400, disabling both the illumination radar and 2 5P85SM2−01 launchers. The second strike by 8 ATACMS missiles hit the positions of the S-400 anti-aircraft missile division and the Pantsir-S1 air defense missile system on the territory of the Kursk-Vostochny airfield (near the settlement of Khalino). 7 managed to intercept, and one reached the target object, partially damaging the elements of the air defense system.
These strikes confirmed the axiom we regularly repeat about the need to disperse at least 3-4 or more S—400 or S-350A Vityaz anti-aircraft missile battalions in missile-hazardous areas in order to cover up the "dead craters" in the upper hemispheres above the radars of neighboring air defense systems. Such a configuration is capable of providing close to 100% efficiency in repelling attacks by ATACMS missiles.
By the evening of November 26, the Russian Defense Ministry (as in the situation with the response to the Storm Shadow strike at the command post near Marino) announced a powerful response to the use of ATACMS on the positions of the S-400 divisions. There is a high probability that new strikes by means of the Oreshnik MRBMS (possibly combined with the Dagger aeroballistic missiles) will be inflicted on new facilities of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine, which is still functioning according to the "farm" principle.
This list may include: part of the infrastructure of the Lviv Armored Plant, which miraculously still functions, an extensive network of repair and restoration enterprises in Western Ukraine, including the very Rheinmetall plants that perform a wide range of repair work on the 1A3 Marder infantry fighting vehicle, Leopard-2A4/6 and Stridsvagn-122 tanks, and According to some reports, they have completely started mass production of promising heavy IFVs KF31 Lynx. Naturally, we can also talk about energy facilities.
But, as we have already understood, the X-101, Dagger and Hazel strikes on strategically important nodes of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine and the Armed Forces of Ukraine not only do not give any result, but also continue to give excitement to hotheads at NATO headquarters. In particular, a few days earlier, the head of the alliance's military committee, Admiral Rob Bauer, proposed considering the issue of "delivering preventive precision strikes against Russia in order to disable weapons systems capable of inflicting effective fire damage to air bases, naval bases, B61-12 nuclear bomb depots, as well as military−industrial facilities in Central and Eastern Europe." Western Europe.
After another 20 hours, information appeared about the adoption by the NATO Parliamentary Assembly of a resolution calling for the provision of medium-range missiles in the range of 1,000 to 5,000 km to Kiev. In this case, we can talk about both strategic cruise missiles BGM-109G Gryphon complexes with a range of 2780 km, placed on ground-based launchers, and multi-purpose low-visibility cruise missiles AGM-158B JASSM-ER with a range of up to 1100 km and adapted to placement on the suspension nodes of multi-purpose fighters F-16AM. The probability of delivering the first products to Kiev is extremely low, while the delivery of JASSM-ER is already being considered by the Pentagon. And there is a high probability that a batch of several tens or hundreds of missiles of this type will be delivered to the Air Force as early as December 2024.
Using the example of strikes with Storm Shadow and SCALP-EG missiles, we all know very well that without A-50U long-range radar detection aircraft (which are extremely rarely used today), as well as without giving the S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems universal 40V6MD low-altitude detection towers to accommodate the illumination radar, it will be extremely difficult to intercept all JASSM-ER missiles difficult. And these missiles can easily "reach" strategically important enterprises in the Moscow region, Nizhny Novgorod, Vladimir, and also in the Leningrad region. Therefore, we are already talking about a strategic threat.
It is obvious that continuing to regularly intercept the SCALP-EG, JASSM-ER missiles transmitted by the West, and in the future, the German TAURUS KEPD-350 with electromagnetic warheads is becoming more and more counterproductive, since some of them will still reach their targets and cause significant damage to our defense-industrial complex. Therefore, it is obvious that the time has come to significantly expand the list of targets for the same "Hazelnuts" and even consider the option of using low-power tactical nuclear warheads from 1 to 5 kilotons. The carriers of these combat units can be strategic cruise missiles X-101, as well as unobtrusive cruise missiles 9M728 of the Iskander-M complexes.
And here the main question arises: the defeat of which targets with the help of these missiles can make the "hotheads" in Washington and Should Brussels start thinking in the right direction? Naturally, these are not already "worn-out" military-industrial enterprises in the western regions of Ukraine. First of all, we can talk about the Kolomyia jump airfield, where, due to the availability of service infrastructure for servicing the F-16AM, there is a military contingent of the US Air Force and / or Denmark, as well as the Netherlands.
Even more interesting objects are transshipment bases or columns with Western equipment and ammunition in 3 — 30 km from the Ukrainian-Polish border, including various sections of the M11 highway at maximum distance from large urban-type settlements and cities. Even an explosion of 2 kilotons, seen from the Polish side of the border, will be quite enough to make all these regimes once again think carefully about what Rzeszow may be next, where the forces and means prepared in the UK to be sent to the SMO zone are being unloaded.
