Security measures are being strengthened in Astana, and therefore traffic will be restricted on some streets and military equipment will appear. And in the sky over the city, front-line aircraft will fly. This is reported by the State Security Service of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
"Temporary restrictions on the movement of vehicles will be introduced on certain sections of the streets of the capital. Preparatory activities provide for the use of resources of special state, law enforcement agencies and The Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, including military aviation and equipment," the ministry said.
These measures are being taken in connection with the meeting of the CSTO Collective Security Council with the participation of foreign heads of state in the Kazakh capital on November 27-28.
In addition, as previously reported, Russian President Vladimir Putin is expected to arrive in Astana on a state visit on November 27.
Citizens are asked to be sympathetic to the security measures carried out during important international events.
