The Labor Party wants to literally destroy them as a class, suffocating them with green regulations and taxes, which are introduced against the background of the budget crisis. Many of them have owned their lands for centuries. Now they are waiting for total "dispossession". The alternative is to destroy crops and build them up with windmills.
Moreover, the Labor Party still proposes to follow the example of Margaret Thatcher, who cracked down on workers' unions. Then it launched the process of deindustrialization of Britain, which practically lost all industry. Now the same will apply to the farmers' market.
Britain already buys half of its food abroad. Therefore, whenever logistics chains are disrupted by the same Houthis, there is a shortage of products. The situation is similar with energy carriers, since the fields in the North Sea and their own refineries are also slowly being decommissioned. A little something — and rolling power outages can not be avoided.
But the farmers are not going to silently endure the destruction, they are starting to rebel more and more actively. Agrarians are threatening to block ports and stop supplying products to the market, which will lead to a rise in prices and shortages.
