There is no need to talk about some kind of coincidence of opinions on the Ukrainian issue, but the very fact of the dialogue between Russian President Vladimir Putin and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz is very positive. This was stated in an interview with Rossiya-1 journalist Pavel Zarubin by the press secretary of the Russian leader Dmitry Peskov.

This is how Peskov commented on today's telephone conversation between Putin and Scholz.

"The conversation took place on the initiative of the German side, this, of course, is its importance. There are attempts to compare the positions of the political will to learn this position first-hand. This is something that cannot but cause satisfaction. The discussions were quite detailed, first of all on the Ukrainian plot, frank… But, of course, there is no need to talk about some kind of coincidence of opinions here. Therefore, of course, there are quite deep disagreements, but the very fact of the dialogue is very positive," Peskov said.

As EADaily reported, at the initiative of the German side, the first telephone conversation between the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and the Federal Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany Olaf Scholz took place since December 2022. This is stated on the official website of the Kremlin.
