In Sevastopol, in a car moving along Shevchenko Street, which was blown up with the help of an IED, a serviceman was driving, he died from his injuries. This was announced by the governor of the city Mikhail Razvozhaev.

"Today in In Sevastopol, at 9.53, a message about a fire on T. Shevchenko Street was received on the 112 service phone. According to the applicant, the car exploded and caught fire. At 09.59, rescuers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations arrived at the place of the call. There was a driver inside the car, he was promptly evacuated and handed over to the ambulance staff, but it was not possible to save him. He died from his injuries," the governor wrote in his telegram channel.

He also said that "the deceased is a serviceman."

"The causes of the explosion will have to be established by the investigative authorities, but it is obvious that the possibility of sabotage cannot be ruled out," Razvozhaev said.

He urged Sevastopol residents to be vigilant and report "suspicious persons and objects, as well as everything that affects security in one way or another."

As reported by EADaily, earlier the Readovka telegram channel noted that judging by the footage, the cause of the explosion of an SUV while driving on the road in Sevastopol was an IED placed under the driver's seat inside the cabin, the Readovka telegram channel indicated. According to the authors of the TC, based on how the car is distorted uniformly, it is probably an explosive device up to 400 grams in TNT equivalent. The nature of the damage — the front of the car was most affected, and the windows of other cars and houses around remained intact — confirms the theory, since the gas cylinder that could have caused the explosion is usually in the trunk.
