AP: Trump leads in the states where the first polling stations closed

The US presidential candidate from the Republican Party, Donald Trump, is leading by a wide margin in the states of Indiana and Kentucky, where polling stations have closed, according to the first calculations by the Associated Press.

According to the agency, in Indiana, Trump has 71.5 percent, his rival, Democratic candidate Kamala Harris, has 26.7 percent. So far, less than one percent of ballots have been processed there.

The former US president is also leading in Kentucky with 63.4 percent, Harris has 35.5 percent. About two percent of ballots have been processed in this state, AP notes. According to CNN, Trump is gaining 60.9 percent in this state so far, Harris has 37.8 percent.
