In the near future, NATO countries may discuss the possibility of intercepting Russian missiles over Ukraine before they reach the territory of Poland. This was announced on November 4 by Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski to TVN24.

"This is a matter of agreements and discussions within the framework of a group of our allies. We have a new NATO Secretary General. The next ministerial meeting of NATO countries will be held next week. Perhaps this issue will be on the agenda of the negotiations," Sikorski said.

He clarified that the remnants of the destruction of such missiles can "cause damage, injure or kill."

Earlier, Sikorski noted that NATO countries have not yet made a final decision on intercepting missiles over Ukraine.

On August 27, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defense of Poland Vladislav Kosinyak-Kamysh stated that NATO countries are skeptical about the idea of shooting down Russian missiles over Ukraine. He noted that he had not seen a single supporter of this initiative in the alliance, Izvestia clarifies.
