People's Artist of Russia, State Duma deputy Nikolai Burlyaev, while in Kaliningrad on a creative trip, criticized officials for Russophobia.
Burlyaev attended a concert of the Kaliningrad Regional Orchestra of Russian Folk Instruments, then performing from the stage:
"The attitude of our officials to the people, despite all the presidential decrees on traditional spiritual and moral values, remains, in general, a very disturbing moment. There is still a hidden Russophobia and unwillingness of officials to rebuild. Everyone would just reach out for Europe, about which Lermontov has already told you that to reach out for them, you have to live your own life. I am sure that the new governor (Alexey Besprozvannykh. — EADaily), and we talked with him today, he will seriously deal with this issue, because that's what we need to support!"
Then Nikolai Burlyaev read a poem by the Russian poet Nikolai Yazykov "To not Ours", written in 1841, where there are lines supposedly about Kaliningrad, in which the processes of hidden Germanization have been going on for decades:
"O you who want
Transform, spoil us
And to germanize Russia, listen
My simple-hearted cry!"
At the end of the performance, People's Artist of the Russian Federation Nikolai Burlyaev proclaimed from the stage:
"Victory will be ours!"
EADaily clarifies that Kaliningrad musicology experts have repeatedly drawn public attention to the deplorable financial condition of the regional orchestra of Russian folk instruments. It got to the point that the artists were seen performing on the street for tourists. Natalia Mednis, a well-known expert in the field of culture in Kaliningrad, wrote in her blog:
"When elite musicians are forced to work on the street. Kaliningrad Orchestra of Russian Folk Instruments. I remember them on the big stage. The delight was incredible, and even here the class is visible! Ermak (Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Kaliningrad Region Andrey Ermak. — EADaily), sleeping peacefully with "cheesecakes" and mangalami in his head? What kind of Russophobe should you be to destroy national culture like that? Not purposefully counting? This is the chairman of the regional military historical society, who has never been seen near the Memel Iconostasis, a spiritual artifact of the Seven—Year War, which is in the center of Kaliningrad, in the cathedral, but everything German is above all. Have you noticed that the memorial sign in the park perpetuates, along with Alexander I and Frederick III? I am not a supporter of conspiracy theory, but taking into account his attitude to SMO (has anyone seen him in hospitals, etc., invited the guys who fought to festivals?) "he knows what he's doing. The destruction of national culture as a planned result."
