With any outcome of the US presidential election, Washington's policy towards its allies will only get tougher. Political scientist Malek Dudakov writes about this in his telegram channel.

Three days before the election, the allies of the United States twitched, because they simply do not know what to expect, the expert notes.

In Taiwan, they are afraid that Donald Trump, if he wins the election, will put the squeeze on the island, demanding that chip manufacturing be transferred to the United States and will force even more to splurge on the purchase of problematic American weapons.

Israel is preparing for a possible Iranian strike right on election day — November 5. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu hopes for Trump's victory, immediately after which he can try to hit Iran himself without looking back at Joe Biden. Under Kamala Harris, the White House's relations with Israel will become even cooler.

But even and Trump has a score to settle with Netanyahu. He never forgave him, as he was one of the first to congratulate Biden on his victory in 2020. And besides, Trump needs to be guided by the opinion of the Muslim diaspora, on whose votes he counts. Trump's apparatchiks intend to summon Netanyahu to the carpet in Washington on the spot and demand de-escalation from him.

The elections in the United States cause a strong jitters among Europeans. They are sure that in any case they will be left alone with the Ukrainian conflict. That Trump and Harris will hit protectionism and tariff wars. The outflow of capital, brains and industries from a weakening Europe to the United States will accelerate.

But Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban is optimistic — if his friend Trump wins, he may become almost the main "decider" in the European Union.

But in general, the chaotic situation in the United States is causing more and more anxiety among allies. Washington's policy towards them will only get tougher. Well, with the current split and instability in America, they are afraid of losing any US guarantees that will turn into air.
