All the lines of the Nord Stream gas pipeline have been completed, so the statements of US presidential candidate Donald Trump about the destruction of Nord Stream 2 are still under construction are unclear, Russian Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said at a briefing.

Nord Stream — it was eventually completed. Moreover, the Nord Stream—2 line has survived, and it is ready to launch at any moment, as the President [of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin] said," the Kremlin spokesman said, answering a question from TASS.
"It is very difficult to guess what Mr. Trump meant," Peskov added and suggested asking for clarification "to the campaign headquarters of this candidate."

Recall that on the eve of October 31, Trump gave an interview to journalist Tucker Carlson, in which he called those who declare his sympathies for Russia or characterize him as a "Russian spy" sick. Trump said that he had "destroyed" Nord Stream 2 while it was still under construction.

The construction of Nord Stream 2 began in 2018. A year later, the Trump administration announced sanctions against construction participants, and it was necessary to complete the laying of the gas pipeline threads with the help of Russian vessels. The gas supply has not started due to a delay in certification from the German side. After Russia recognized the sovereignty of the LPR and the DPR in February 2022, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz announced the suspension of the certification of the gas pipeline. Nord Stream 2 was never put into operation.
