Kazakh blogger Aybar Toleubek visited the city of Baikonur and expressed indignation about Russian flags and the use of Russian rubles. A video about this, which he posted in The network has gained more than 800 thousand views per day.

"I came to Baikonur and felt myself on Russian soil," he signed his video.

The comments did not take long to wait. Users erupted in violent and overwhelmingly negative statements about Russia, stating that it occupied the Kazakh city.

The fact that Baikonur is on a long-term lease from Russia, of course, did not matter.

The Baikonur complex was leased by Kazakhstan to Russia in 1994. Later, the contract was extended until 2050.

Russia pays Kazakhstan an annual rent of $115 million.
