According to a World Bank study, which RIA Novosti refers to in a new publication, the BRICS association was able to increase its share in the global economy and "eat away" a tenth of it in the G7.

The source informs that since the creation of the BRICS, it has increased its share in world trade by almost 10 percentage points. Accordingly, the Big Seven lost the same amount.

For comparison, in 2006, the BRICS countries provided only 27.15% of global GDP, and by the end of 2023 — already 36.8% or plus 9.7%. Last year, the share of the "seven" reached the lowest in the modern history of 29%.
