Not only grain or eggs, but now cheap cement from Ukraine has flooded Poland. Polish companies are indignant and talk about the threat to the entire industry, as reported by Gazeta today, October 21.

Poland has a huge problem with cement from Ukraine and countries outside the European Union, which is being brought to the Polish market. Local entrepreneurs complain and worry that this will lead to the closure of many factories.

Import of cement from Ukraine's exports to Poland are increasing day by day. Only last year it amounted to 330 thousand tons. But the annual increase threatens to reach 350%. Plus, Polish entrepreneurs also have to compete in this area with products from Belarus, Turkey and Algeria.

Zbigniew Pilch, head of the Association of Polish Cement Manufacturers (SPC), is confident that there is a fact of unfair competition. Both Ukraine and other countries outside the EU "do not bear any costs for climate policy."

"Ships loaded with cement, running on diesel fuel and emitting huge amounts of CO2, sail around the European continent just to get to Gdansk and unload there. This has nothing to do with climate protection," he said.
