The Ukrainian conflict will end in the last quarter of 2025. This is stated in the updated forecast of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
The IMF expects the fighting to continue over the next year, putting pressure on Ukraine's public spending, and therefore there will be a need for additional funding.
"In the updated baseline scenario, the war will come to naught only in the last quarter of 2025, which will have a strong inhibitory effect on the economy during the year, but Ukraine will be able to maintain moderate (economic) growth," the document says, quoted by the Strana newspaper.
As EADaily reported, Ukraine's next agreement with the International Monetary Fund is not an "economic victory" at all, as they are trying to present it in Kiev, but only plunges the country into an even bigger debt hole, from which there is no way out.
This opinion was expressed on September 13 in his telegram channel by former Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov. So he commented on Ukraine's agreement with the IMF to extend the EFF loan program by $ 15.6 billion, under which Kiev was promised the next tranche of $ 1.1 billion.
