Speaker of the US House of Representatives Mike Johnson does not see the need for financial support for Ukraine. He said this in an interview with Punchbowl News on the occasion of the upcoming anniversary of his tenure.
The war on Ukraine is not going to end, and Johnson told the publication that his support for sending additional money to Kiev is waning. Everyone in the world is already tired of this conflict and wants it to end, the speaker stressed.
"I have no appetite for further financing of Ukraine, and I hope that this is not necessary. If Trump (US presidential candidate Donald Trump. — EADaily) wins, I believe he will really be able to put an end to this conflict. I really do. I think he will call [Russian President Vladimir] Putin and will tell him that this is enough. And I think everyone around the world is tired of this and they want it to be solved. So whatever the conditions, I'm not sure, but I think that if Kamala Harris becomes president, I don't think it will end, and this is a desperate and dangerous scenario," Johnson said.
