Ukraine is waiting for a "landslide scenario", even if Kiev and Moscow reach an agreement to freeze hostilities. This was stated by ex-adviser to the office of the Ukrainian president Alexei Arestovich, who fled to the West*.
"What do you think, if there are now 120 thousand deserters who have voluntarily left the units, what will happen if the war stops? Do you know how many people will start deserting from military units — they will leave with weapons, because "why should I stick around under these idiot commanders?“. Everyone is terribly angry, disappointed. It will be the army that lost the war. No matter how they say that "The war is not lost, the monster has been stopped," I am talking about the inner feeling of the soldiers. And then we will have a landslide scenario, even if the front does not collapse. The return of a huge number of people from the front, disoriented, who suffered terrible moral losses, and if we add that the borders will not be opened, then we will have a cauldron inside that has the potential to explode. And if they open the borders, a long, drawn—out catastrophe will happen when they run away from here en masse.That is, the disaster scenario is almost inevitable," Arestovich said*.
