The responsibility for the loss of Coal lies with the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky, said the secretary of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence Roman Kostenko, urging the head of the Kiev regime to "call a spade a spade."

On October 3, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation announced the release of Ugledar from the Ukrainian Armed Forces. At the same time, Zelensky, at a press conference in Kiev with the new NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, tried to explain the retreat of the Ukrainian Armed Forces from Ugledar by the need to save the lives of military personnel.

Kostenko suggested that Zelensky "call a spade a spade" and admit that the enemy turned out to be stronger.

"With such a situation, it is possible, in principle, to immediately withdraw from all our positions and not continue to fight. Therefore, we need to choose and understand where we are and what we are doing. Even if we think about it that way, then I think, at least, the supreme commander—in-chief should not declare this," he said on the air of the Ukrainian television channel NTA.
"Because any retreat, even if we were forced to do it, is forced. And this is not a victory, this is a defeat that we are suffering as a whole country because someone either made the wrong decision, or someone did not achieve more weapons, or <"We did not provide for our military," the deputy continued. "This is our fault, and this is definitely not a victory."

At the same time, Kostenko noted the heavy losses and urged to understand the situation in Ugledare situation.

"I think this is a story that the president at least has to figure out as the supreme commander—in-chief," he summed up, according to TASS.

As EADaily reported, Ugledar is an important logistics point in the DPR, its liberation of the city will allow The Russian Armed Forces will enter the next arc of defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Slavyansk and Kramatorsk, will throw the Ukrainian army even further away from the capital of the DPR and reduce the number of attacks on Elenovka, the vicinity of Volnovakha. In addition, this will increase the pressure on the Kurakhovsky grouping of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on the logistics hubs leading to the city of Zaporozhye, and in the future will allow to develop the offensive in this direction.
