The press secretary of the President of Russia, Dmitry Peskov, said that he did not know anything about the list of Russian-speaking and foreign artists and groups banned in Russia, which spread in telegram channels and the media the day before.
"We don't know anything about the lists. There are a lot of fake ones going around," he told RTVI.
At the same time, the Kremlin spokesman did not rule out that the position of some performers regarding a special military operation on Ukraine "may cause rejection of the organizer of an event."
"And this has nothing to do with us," Peskov concluded.
As reported by EADaily, earlier there was information about making changes to the "black list" of artists, which was allegedly received by advertising agencies, as well as event companies in Russia. A total of 79 names and names of collectives are included in the list. In addition to singers and groups with openly Russophobic and anti-Russian positions, performers who are trying to "be out of politics", artists supporting the actions of the Russian authorities allegedly got into it. For example, People's Artist of Russia Valery Leontiev, Dzhigan and Instasamka, as well as other bloggers, comedians and showmen are now on the list. At the same time, there are also Western performers — Beyonce, Lana del Rey, Metallica and others.
The list of artists who are not recommended to be invited to events was called fake by the head of the Federal Project on Security and Anti-Corruption Vitaly Borodin.
