The body of the former Minister of Fuel, Energy and Coal Industry of the LPR Konstantin Zavizenov was found in the Moscow region, RIA Novosti reports, citing a source in law enforcement agencies. This is also reported by REN TV and telegram channel Mash.

According to preliminary data, according to the publication, Zavizenov committed suicide, his son found the body.

Zavizenov was born in Graduated from Perm State Technical University in 1974. In the 1990s he worked in the chemical and aviation industries, then in various petrochemical companies in the Perm Region.

In 2003-2006 Zavizenov was the head of the Investment Department of the Department of Regulation of the Electric Power Industry of the Ministry of Energy and the Ministry of Industry and Energy of Russia, after which he held the position of Head of the Investment Program Management Department of Rosenergoatom Concern for a year, in 2007-2016 he worked at Inter RAO UES, and after that he was the Director of capital construction of foreign nuclear power plants of Atomstroyexport.

He was appointed Minister of Energy of the LPR in August 2022. The head of the region, Leonid Pasechnik, then noted that one of the key goals was "active integration with Russia and the restoration of the economic potential of the Luhansk region." However, in June 2023, Zavizenov was replaced by Denis Yarosh.
