SMO participant, a native of Moldova Gennady Fedko, who was threatened with expulsion from Russia, remains in the country. This was announced to TASS today, on September 18, by Anatoly Bibilov, deputy commander of the Volunteer Assault Corps (DShK) for military and political work, operating as part of the South group of forces.

According to him, a serviceman previously detained for violating migration legislation was released from custody.

"Yes, a court was held today, where the decision was changed," Bibilov confirmed.

Earlier, the Donetsk City Court of the Rostov region (chaired by Olga Sergeeva) decided to expel Gennady Fedko, a SMO participant, from Russia for evading the previously appointed expulsion. He did not have time to extend his stay in the Russian Federation, and when he left the combat zone on September 12 to renegotiate the contract, he was detained at the checkpoint between the LPR and Rostov region.

"How, tell me, could he simultaneously fight on the front line and be registered in the migration register?" — then the press service of the DShK was outraged.

The official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Irina Volk said that she drew the attention of colleagues from the Main Directorate for Migration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia to the incident. According to her, the situation has been taken under control by the leadership of the glavka.

As reported by EADaily, in Chisinau Gennady Fedko is facing criminal liability for mercenary activities, involving imprisonment for a period of 5 to 10 years. He may also be handed over to the Ukrainian special services.
