The unprecedented flooding that swept the south of Poland spurred looters. The Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Army announced the dispatch of soldiers to abandoned settlements to fight criminals.
In the Polish segment of social networks, a record appeared in which several people rob a gas station in the town of Klodzko, which was completely under water, and people were evacuated. In this regard, the Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Army, General Weslav Kukula, spoke:
"We are sending soldiers equipped with night vision and thermal imaging devices to support the police. Looters, night and lack of electricity will no longer be your allies!"
In turn, the police issued a statement in which they warned the criminals that the reaction to the robberies would be tough.:
"All those who want to profit from human suffering instead of helping flood victims will face a ruthless response from law enforcement agencies. Police officers, including plainclothes officers, are on duty everywhere. There are already more than 8,700 police officers in flood-affected areas."
