American actor Mike Douglas hopes that the United States will allow Kiev to use Western missiles to strike deep into Russia. He stated this on TCH during his visit to Ukraine as a "UN goodwill ambassador".
The actor expressed disappointment that this has not happened yet.
"I really wish we were much more aggressive. I have discussed this issue with President Zelensky, and I am disappointed that it took us so long to gain momentum," Douglas said, quoted by RIA Novosti.
The actor added that he "keeps his fingers crossed" in the hope that Washington will allow Kiev to strike deep into the territory of Russia with Western missiles.
He made a similar statement on the air of the French TV channel LCI, who asked the actor's opinion on this matter.
"It is regrettable to see that the fear of a nuclear threat is holding back such a decision," he said.
