The Kremlin believes that the decision to allow Ukraine to launch long-range strikes against Russia with Western missiles has most likely already been made.
This was stated on September 11 at a briefing in the Kremlin by the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov. According to him, at the moment an information campaign is simply being conducted in the media to formalize the decision already made.
Thus, Washington is trying to distance itself from interference in the Ukrainian conflict, but it does not work, Peskov believes. The involvement of the collective West, in his opinion, is of a direct nature, and each new step only increases this involvement.
The Kremlin spokesman promised that Russia would give an "appropriate response" to such strikes if they follow. However, the speaker did not specify exactly what this answer would be.
As reported by EADaily, earlier the chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin said that Western countries had become parties to the conflict on Ukraine, indulging Zelensky's requests. This will lead to the fact that Russia will be forced to respond by using more powerful and destructive weapons to protect its citizens.
