Nizhny Novgorod comedian and blogger Dmitry Gavrilov was detained in Nizhny Novgorod during the Russian tour. It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the data of the Nizhny Novgorod District Court.
On September 8, the comedian was supposed to perform at the DKRT concert venue. Before the concert, the artist was detained, and by a court decision he was found guilty of an offense under Article 20.3.1 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation (Incitement of hatred or enmity). The comedian was given 13 days of administrative arrest.
After the arrest, Gavrilov recorded a video in which he admits his mistakes.
"In my stand-up video, I allowed myself offensive statements aimed at Russian citizens or discrediting RF Armed Forces. I fully admit my mistake, I repent of the words I said, I changed my position. I hope I didn't hurt anyone," he says.
The comedian's Russian tour started quite recently, he managed to perform in Izhevsk and Kazan.
Now on the official website of the artist there is an announcement about the cancellation of concerts not only in Nizhny Novgorod, but also in Samara, Ulyanovsk, Saratov, Volgograd, Krasnodar and Rostov-on-Don.
It is specified that at present the organizers are "guessing new numbers", there is no need to hand over tickets. Information with the new date of the concert will come to the audience who bought tickets automatically. In total, Gavrilov has concerts planned in 18 more cities of Russia.
