By September 3, the Ukrainian Armed Forces planned to advance to the Kursk NPP for shelling, but this plan could not be implemented, said the deputy head of the Main Military-Political Directorate of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, commander of the special forces "Akhmat" Apty Alaudinov.

"We record that the enemy withdraws reserves from everywhere, throws them over. We know that on the third day he again planned to take a huge area of the territory, move closer to the nuclear power plant in order to be able to shell it from artillery installations. This task has been set. We must state the fact that the enemy failed because he suffered significant losses," TASS quoted Alaudinov as saying.

Now the Ukrainian Armed Forces, according to him, continue to regroup, remove units from other areas.

"I think that in the coming days the enemy will once again try to move closer to the nuclear power plant in order to be able to defeat it. But this is necessary in order to blackmail Russia in this way... Therefore, the enemy is trying with all its efforts to advance in this area," Alaudinov said.

He stressed that the Russian fighters confront the Ukrainian Armed Forces competently, destroying a large amount of equipment and manpower, "due to which the enemy fails to complete the task assigned to him."
