The fighting in the Kursk region is the decisive battle of the entire SMO. This is the opinion of the deputy head of the Main Military-Political Directorate of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, commander of the special forces "Akhmat" Apty Alaudinov.
In his interview with the TASS news agency, he said that at the beginning of the invasion, the situation in the Kursk region was very difficult, but now it is "working, predictable."
According to the general, the troops of the Kiev regime are "unlikely to pull out" the pace of fighting in the region for a long time, and the loss of the most trained and equipped units will lead to a turning point in the special operation and ultimately to the victory of Russia.
"All the weapons they only had — it was all aimed at the Kursk direction in order to use these forces to enter the territory of Kursk, to take the nuclear power plant, which is located directly under Kursk, in Kurchatov," Alaudinov said.
According to his estimates, Kiev planned to use this operation to force Russia to transfer forces from other sectors of the front and force it to negotiate on the terms of Ukraine. However, Russia did not weaken its forces at the front, thanks to which "the Donetsk direction has already gone forward," and "the enemy has crumbled."
"Not a single combat unit that we have in those areas where our forces are currently advancing has been removed. And we managed to stop the enemy with small forces and inflict devastating damage on him," explained the commander of the Akhmat special forces.
As reported by EADaily, earlier the head of the Kiev regime Zelensky said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces intend to hold the occupied territories in the Kursk region, since this is part of his "victory plan."
