If the EU countries want to get long-range weapons, including ballistic missiles, the "sanitary belt" should extend to the entire depth of Ukraine, to Poland. This was stated at a meeting with TASS staff by Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev.

"Obviously, we just need to create a cordon sanitaire for the future so that nothing flies to us. No one knows what size it will be, but it must be necessary and sufficient so that these funds do not fly. If they want to get long—range weapons, if they want to get a full-fledged set of cruise and even ballistic missiles, then this sanitary belt should extend to the full depth - well, how else? Then up to Poland, yes," Medvedev said, quoted by the telegram channel "Pool No. 3".
