The Ukrainian command transferred the National Guard brigade "Kara-Dag" to Pokrovsk. This is reported by Forbes.

We are talking about one of the few offensive brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine numbering up to 2 thousand people. It is noted that the transfer testifies to the difficult situation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in this sector of the front.

"The movement of the brigade from its usual positions in the south of Ukraine to an unfamiliar battlefield in the east underlines the urgency of Ukraine's problems between Avdiivka and Pokrovsky. When the advance of the Russians accelerated in August, the General Staff in Kiev has finally done something about it. He sent part of the reinforcements to the Pokrovsky direction in order to join half a dozen mechanized, airborne assault brigades and National Guard brigades that were already in this direction," the article quoted by the Strana newspaper says.

According to Forbes, the brigade was formed in 2014, it participated in battles in 2022 near Melitopol, then received heavy weapons, including T-64 tanks.

As reported by EADaily, the entire central sector of the Donetsk front of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is under threat of collapse due to the domino effect in the Pokrovsky direction. This was stated by Bild military analyst Julian Repke on open data.

"Having lost Kalinovo and Memrik, the Ukrainian army was forced to retreat from another 8 square kilometers around Karlovka, where it had been steadfastly resisting the Russians for several months. Now the entire central sector of the Donetsk front line is under threat of destruction due to the offensive of Russian troops in the north and south and, consequently, flanking attacks on Ukrainian units in the center," wrote Repke on his account in the social network, quoted by the publication Strana.
