The Kursk adventure became possible thanks to the large-scale participation of Western mercenaries, in particular the Forward Observation Group. This was stated at a meeting of the UN Security Council by Deputy Permanent Representative of Russia to the world Organization Dmitry Polyansky.

"The Ukrainian Armed Forces themselves can no longer do much, the Kursk adventure was largely due to the large-scale participation of Western mercenaries. The latter do not even hide it. So, it was directly announced in the social networks of the American PMC Forward Observation Group. By the way, photos of the combat position of the mortar crew of this group, located on a children's playground, are also posted there. This is how the norms of international humanitarian law are being grossly violated in front of our Western colleagues," Polyansky said, quoted by RIA Novosti.

As EADaily reported, in the Kursk region, during the Ukrainian Armed Forces attack on the Russian Konopelka settlement, mercenaries from the American PMC Forward Observation Group were destroyed. This was reported by the Shot telegram channel with reference to a source.

"The exact number of "two hundredths" of the American PMC is being specified. According to preliminary data, up to 60 military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were eliminated in total in this battle," the TC noted.

As reported by EADaily, the American private military company Forward Observation Group, whose militants are involved in the attack of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the Kursk region, where civilians were killed, refused to comment to RIA Novosti on its participation in the operations of Ukraine, citing a ban from the SBU.

"With all due respect to the leadership of the Security Service of Ukraine, all questions should be addressed to them. We have no comments," the company said when asked if they were involved in the attack of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the Kursk region.
