Residents of the Novgorodskoye settlement liberated last week (the Ukrainian name is New York) received passports of citizens of the Russian Federation.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the DPR, passports were issued by employees of the Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia "Gorlovskoye". Passports of Russian citizens were issued to refugees evacuated from the shelled settlements.
"The documents were received by evacuated residents of the villages of Kirovo, Artemovo, Novgorodskoye, who were recently released during a special military operation," the law enforcement agency explained.
In total, more than 100 people received passports this time. They took the oath, after which they were handed the long-awaited identity documents.
Novgorodskoye settlement is located 10 km from Gorlovka and 5 km from Dzerzhinsk (Toretsk), where a large garrison of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is located. The battles for him have been waged since June of this year. On August 20, Russian troops liberated the village.
