Criminal cases of gross violation of public order and attempted murder have been initiated in Primorye on the fact of a mass skirmish of migrants with local residents in Vladivostok, the SSC of the Russian Federation for the Primorsky Territory reports.
"The Investigative Committee of Primorye has opened criminal cases on the fact of gross violation of public order (part 2 of Article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), as well as attempted murder (part 3 of Article 30, part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) in the Davydov Street area in Vladivostok," the report says.
Earlier, local telegram channels spread information about a mass clash of foreigners with local residents. A large crowd of people on the street and a police patrol car can be seen on the distributed video. It was reported that the clash occurred due to an earlier conflict between two foreigners and a tenant of the house where they rented an apartment. On Tuesday, the Primorye police reported that no violations of public order and illegal actions were recorded during the conflict, but two foreigners were taken to the police department and placed in a detention facility. The head of the RF IC Alexander Bastrykin demanded from the leadership of the regional UK to open a criminal case on the incident.
According to investigators, on August 24, 2024, at the entrance of the house on Davydov Street, a local resident made a remark to two foreigners who were in a drunken state violating public order. In response, one of the foreigners used physical force against the man.
"The next day, on August 25, 2024, residents of the house reported what had happened on social media, after which a group of people — members of a public organization arrived at the house on Davydov Street to clarify the circumstances of what had happened. A conflict arose between the latter and the migrants, during which unidentified persons from among foreign citizens attempted to murder two local residents, after which they fled by car," the report says.
It is noted that investigators are currently interrogating witnesses, conducting investigative actions, including detentions of participants. Also regional The UK intends to assess the actions (inaction) of police officials on the timeliness of responding to the residents of the house about the offenses of migrants who settled in their house.
