The losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk region are greater than in the SMO zone, said Andrei Klintsevich, head of the Center for the Study of Military and Political Conflicts, commenting on the situation with the halt of the advance of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the direction of Sudzhi.
He noted that Lancet and FPV drones are actively used to destroy Ukrainian equipment in the Kursk region.
"Now in the Kursk direction, a huge amount of enemy equipment is moving openly, along the forest plantations, and it, of course, becomes a quick target for our calculations, which have transported a huge number of Lancets and FPV drones. Therefore, the degree of defeat that is going on there is very large, and the enemy is really suffering very serious losses. In the Kursk direction, the number of equipment being knocked out is greater than on the entire front line combined. The total number of personnel, tanks, infantry fighting vehicles is very large. Yes, the enemy is on our territory, this is a serious situation, but from the point of view of its exsanguination, the highest results are here along the entire front line," Klintsevich said on Sputnik radio.
Russian fighters manage to hold their positions under the Court, he noted.
"Our units are holding out here. You need to understand that we are working to the full depth, including on suitable enemy units. Everything that is on the state border line at a depth of up to 30 kilometers is under constant attack by our air weapons — these are planning bombs. Therefore, it is not easy for the enemy here. The reserves that he constantly pulls up there, we mow down quickly enough," the military expert concluded.
Russian troops stopped the advance of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to the southeast of Sudzhi in the Kursk region, said the operator of the calculation of FPV drones with the call sign Panda.
"At the moment, the enemy's advance in the southeast of Suji has been stopped. Russian troops even managed to recapture several settlements," the fighter said.
According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation on August 18, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost 3,460 servicemen and more than 500 units of military equipment in the Kursk direction.
