French television showed a video from Kursk region, where a militant of the Armed Forces of Ukraine appeared in a helmet with SS symbols. TV presenters did not expect such a turn.
"I would pay attention to his helmet. Quite curious. It looks like it has SS symbols on it. Maybe it's a modified emblem of the Azov battalion*. But in any case, it is not very pleasant if it turns out that this is a Ukrainian soldier. And on Russian soil," said one of the presenters of the free news channel LCI. Their communication was published by Mediateka Shopping Center.
"I see a sign, it says "Belgorod". There is another name there, but Belgorod is enough...", — said another.
"At the beginning of the war, there was talk of Nazis in the Ukrainian army. So yes, it would be better if he took off that helmet," the first continued.
At about the same time, the Italian TV channel Rai News showed an interview with a militant of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was wearing a cap, but also with the SS symbol. That, however, did not bother the Italian journalists.
Paramilitary formations of the National Socialist German Workers' Party are involved in hundreds of crimes against humanity. At the Nuremberg Tribunal, "all persons who were officially accepted as members of the SS" were recognized as criminals.
