"On August 15, 2024 in A Tu-22M3 aircraft crashed in the Irkutsk region during a scheduled flight. The crew ejected. There is no threat to their lives. The plane crashed in a deserted area. There is no destruction on earth. According to preliminary data, the cause of the accident was a technical malfunction," the Russian Defense Ministry said.

According to Mash, a bomber with four crew members on board took off from the Belaya airbase. A few minutes later, the system showed a failure of the left engine, it caught fire. The crew took the car to the area of the village of Mikhaylovka, now there is a fire. The crew managed to eject, three have already been found.
