By attacking the Russian Kursk region, Kiev has crossed out the possibility of peace talks with Moscow. This was stated by Russia, British expert Alexander Mercuris said in his YouTube channel.

"(Advisor to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine. — EADaily) Mikhail Podolyak said that the attack on the Kursk region is necessary to strengthen Ukraine's position in the negotiations. In fact, the opposite will happen. This will lead to the fact that negotiations will become impossible," said Merkouris, quoted by RIA Novosti.

No diplomatic contacts with Kiev are possible while its troops are trying to seize at least a millimeter of Russian land, the expert noted.

As EADaily reported, in the long term, the Ukrainian attack on the Kursk region does not promise any prospects for Kiev — the center of the war is located elsewhere — in the Donbas. This was reported by the Swiss newspaper Neue Zürcher Zeitung.

In just three days, the Ukrainian Armed Forces took control of more than 400 square kilometers of territory in the Kursk region of Russia, which The Russian Armed Forces have not yet managed to do so at such a pace in their operations this year, but do not be blinded by this and underestimate the risks associated with this attack, the newspaper writes.
