The leading players of the Turkish tourism industry have proposed to revise the existing and popular all inclusive holiday format in the country ("all inclusive"). This is reported by Hurriyet.
One of the businessmen, Zafer Alkaya, also noted that this system has greatly influenced the development of the tourism industry in Turkey, but now it needs to be changed. By the way, it was Alkaya who was one of the founders of this system back in the early 90s.
"The all inclusive system has become a very important outlet for the development of our tourist destination. The results we have achieved thanks to it are certainly undeniable. However, years later, in the new process that we are currently experiencing, it needs to be discussed anew. < Tourists who require a high level of products and services are naturally willing to pay the price for it," the entrepreneur believes.
At the same time, the Association of Tour Operators of Turkey was rather skeptical about this proposal, considering that there are no worthy alternatives to the existing system.
"Different opinions have been expressed for years, for example, the "pay as much as you use" model has been proposed, but they will not replace the popular all inclusive system, which is especially popular among foreign tourists," the organization's experts believe.
