Russian specialists have developed a "Doomsday" FPV drone, which is designed to ensure the safety of military units in the event of a nuclear strike.
Dmitry Kuzyakin, General Director of the Center for Integrated Unmanned Solutions (CCDB), told TASS about the new development. He explained that one of the functions of the drone is to control the radiation background on the ground.
According to the CEO, this UAV was developed as part of the Crunch project. The engineer expressed the hope that it would not be necessary to use this product.
"I am sure that common sense will prevail, the world will not allow the use of nuclear weapons and our Doomsday drone will never be needed," Kuzyakin said.
At the same time, he noted that it is still necessary to prepare for this, since the lack of readiness even for the worst and most improbable scenarios is a crime.
