Representatives of the fugitive Belarusian opposition in Lithuania planned drone strikes on a nuclear power plant in Belarus. This was announced on July 30 by the former head of the regional branch of the opposition party "Narodnaya Hromada" Olga Tishkevich.

According to her, one of the initiators of the attack on the Belarusian NPP was Pavel Belyutin, an ex-member of the Vilnius "banner" and "People's Community". He is characterized as a mentally unstable person, prone to terrorism and advocating a violent change of power in Belarus.

He says: our people have all bought more than 20 drones. And they wanted to hit Belarus. These drones were planned to hit a nuclear power plant, a nuclear power plant," Tishkevich said.

The Belarusian NPP is located near the border with Lithuania. In April, the KGB of Belarus reported on the prevention of a drone attack from the Lithuanian side. However, then the department did not say which objects in the republic could have been hit.
